…oh the joys of motherhood…

Oh the joys of motherhood… snotty crazy crying children, potty training, teething, nigh time terrors and fighting… sometime it seems like there are more crazy times then good but that’s not true… Those good moments, the great, amazing moments are the most important experiences a person can enjoy. I am connected to these little beings like crazy… and for that lovey dovey feeling coursing through me I am going to give away complementary mini sessions to any moms who share this with other moms on Facebook ( tell’em to come LOVE my FB Page comment on this post about why they LOVE being a mom.

My daily reminder

On February 3 2012 around (I think ) 9 pm I woke up from what I went in thinking was Laparoscopic   surgery to find out that I had actually been 12 hours away from dying. From my appendix rupturing and the hospital rupturing to coming back 4 days later for emergency surgery. When the doctors came in to talk to me they told me when they put the scoped in to look that the were astounished that I hadn’t gone septic and died. my appendix had ruptured and was infected and because they speculate it had actually ruptured 4 days prior it had also infected my colon. A portion of my colon had already died and perforated.  They took out 12 inches of my intestines and my appendix. That wasn’t even the whole story! But I just want to tell you, when  woke up and found out I could have DIED my heart sank. If I did was I a great mom? Did I teach them enough? Now that I am ok how can I be a better mother? So many questions raced through my head.

without tryin d to be a downer, before this every can happen to you, imagine it and then strive to be better

If you have an extra moment go check out  http://nieniedialogues.com/  this is the story of a mom who was in a plane crash and more that 80% of her body was burned. She writes about her life and how beautiful it is and perspires through her difficult time. I have been following her for a long time and she is a constant reminder to be grateful because you never know what bump in the road you can hit.

Beginnings of a Mabee Baby

My baby fever is just about at the tippty top! Adalay was in a nice deep coma sleep through her entire session, it was a photographer’s dream. She was just precious and reminded me again why I love newbies! Take a moment to just take in the sweetness !

Oh how I love intimate weddings.

Due to my lovely crazy unexpected near death experience  in February and the wonderful recovery form everything I am finally able to post this wedding from December. I assisted another photographer   Kellie Gibson with Kellie Gibson Photography! The wedding and reception were both intimate beginning in a small church and ending at a local coffee house. Please take a moment to check ‘em out:)

Oh Little Miss Ariana! This is the second time we had to do your session. The first time we “tried” to have your session you were just WIDE awake… and of course fell fast asleep when my time was up! Good thing you live around the corner and we could give it a go once more.  Thankfully you were in that good “milk coma” state of mind! Here are a few from in the studio check out this little cheeky girl.
